About the email campaign

  • Brand: Thrive Well is an all-in-one, personalised health and wellness app. It helps time-poor individuals fit an easy exercise, cooking and sleep routine into their busy lives. Thrive Well’s mission is to help people, especially women, feel healthier, happier and have a better quality of life without sacrificing time and effort.

    Objective: They want to gain new customers through offering a 14 day free trial, that moves into offering a 30-day trial and ongoing subscription. The 14-day free is advertised as a landing page, and that’s how customers sign up to the mailing list.

    Project:
    1. A Welcome/Indoctrination email sequence for when someone signs up for the 14 day free trial.
    2. A Sales email sequence to promote the ongoing subscription with added bonuses.

    I undertook this project as part of The Launch Files (online course) by copywriter, marketing strategist and founder of The Copy Posse, Alex Cattoni.

  • Typically women aged 20-37 years old who have busy, stressful jobs, often time-poor and don’t have an effective health or wellness routine.

    They suffer from anxiety, stress, tiredness and unhealthy meal consumption.

    What they want:

    • To feel healthier, more alert, less tired and less stressed. They also want to avoid burnout.

    • An easy exercise routine that they can fit into their busy schedules, healthy and affordable meals and tips to sleep better.

    • To not have to sacrifice more time and energy to have these things.

  • Thrive Well’s brand voice is:

    After the last straw terrible day at work, my body had enough and sent me spiralling.

    It was a wake-up call that I had to find a way out of the mess and proritise my health.

    But it wasn’t as easy as I thought. I desperately searched for a program that could help me with all the things I needed: exercise, nutritious food and improved mental health and sleep.

    But I came up with nothing but apps encouraging weight loss or heavy workouts.

    I was so frustrated.

    I decided I didn’t want anyone else to go through what I went through. I thought to myself that having an app tailored to my specific health goals could have not only helped me right there and then, but could have actually helped prevent my inconvenient hospital visit.

    So, I got to work and developed Thrive Well.

    I have dietary requirements, will the recipes suit me?

    Yes. You can tailor your recipe collection to common diets, including gluten-free, lactose-free, low-fodmap, vegetarian, vegan and high-protein. At this time, the app does not support the keto diet.

    I’ve tried meditation in the past, and it didn’t work for me. How is this different?

    We have an extensive collection of meditations, sleep stories and relaxing music. If you don’t want to do meditation, you can keep browsing and find something that works for you. Alternatively, you can tailor your meditation level to beginner, mid-weight or expert.

    I don’t own weights or fitness equipment, can I still do the exercises?

    Of course! You can choose routines that are equipment-free. However, if you do want routines with equipment, you don’t have to have anything fancy. Use things around the house like baked bean cans for weights.

    How do I know you’re legit?

  • Do you remember the dreaded pandemic lockdowns? Omg, how can we forget?

    We got locked out of our local gym, fitness centre, sports, yoga club, you name it. Left out in the dark.

    It hit us how dependent we were on these places to keep ourselves fit, healthy, active and motivated.

    Before we knew it, home exercise equipment sales skyrocketed all over the country.

    Like Melbourne bike retailer, Taylor’s Bikes. Between March & June 2020, sales increased 200% compared to the same time the year before.

    They sold a crazy 70,000 bikes and only 25,000 in the same period in 2019.

    It was as if the bikes were riding themselves off the shelves!

    And not only bikes — dumbbells and treadmills everywhere sold out rapidly. It was evident we were craving our normal workout routines but had to improvise.

    So we slipped into easy, more relaxing and comfortable ways to complete our workouts right in the comfort of our own living room.

    We even had time to cook, clean, and take up origami — whatever! All while balancing working from home.

    What we discovered was that we didn’t need these fitness places at all.

    But now, life is getting back to what we believed to be normal before all the chaos started.

    We are abandoning our exercise regimes and exchanging our home-cooked health-fueled meals for too-convenient (and expensive) food from delivery services.

    The stress of office life has also returned, which is impacting our mental health. The inability to concentrate and social anxiety has increased significantly.

    I can totally see myself in Lana’s story.

    When Lana woke up in a hospital bed, strapped to an IV, she didn’t know where she went wrong.

    And it wasn’t what she did that got her there, it was what she didn’t do.

    Lana thought taking up the ‘juice’ diet her sister Annie was on would help her too. Because her sister had lost 4 kilos on this diet and boasted about feeling healthier.
